Veneers - Ceramic Shells

What is a veneer?

A veneer is a thin layer of porcelain made to fit over the front surface of a tooth, like a false fingernail fits over a nail. Sometimes a natural colour ‘composite’ material is used instead of porcelain.

Dentures and Prosthesis

What exactly are dentures?

Get Dentures in Hungary for bargain Prices! - Dental Tourism HungaryDentures are worn to replace your natural teeth. They are usually made from lifelike resin teeth bonded to a plastic base. You will either have been fitted with a complete denture to replace all your teeth, or a partial denture. Partial dentures are usually held in place by clasps or metal clips, which fit around some of your remaining teeth.

Tooth Whitening - Bleaching of your teeth

We are offering two types of tooth whitening procedures: Barrier Whitening and Tray Whitening. You can read about both procedures here below.

Root Canal Treatment

What is root canal treatment?

Root kanal treatment - Dentistry in HungaryRoot canal treatment (also called endodontics) is needed when the blood or nerve supply of the tooth (known as the pulp) is infected through decay or injury.

Why is root canal treatment needed?

If the pulp becomes infected, the infection may spread through the root canal system of the tooth. This may eventually lead to an abscess. If root canal treatment (RCT) is not carried out, the infection will spread and the tooth may need to be taken out.

In our dentistry we are preparing the following fillings and inlays:

  • Composite fillings or white fillings
  • Aesthetic fillings
  • Exchange of the old amalgam fillings
  • Ceramic inlays or porcelain inlays/onlays
  • Gold inlays
  • Gradia inlays

Gum disease

Dental problem of gum disease - Dentistry HungaryWhat is gum disease?

Gum disease describes swelling, soreness or infection of the tissues supporting the teeth. There are two main forms of gum disease: gingivitis and periodontal disease.

What is gingivitis?

Gingivitis means inflammation of the gums. This is when the gums around the teeth become very red and swollen. Often the swollen gums bleed when they are brushed during cleaning.

Inlays and Onlays

Inlays and Onlays for top Prices - Visit us in Hungary! An inlay is an indirect restoration (filling) consisting of a solid substance (as gold or porcelain) fitted to a cavity in a tooth and cemented into place. To make this restoration, an impression of the prepared cavity is taken using an elastic material. It is sent to the dental technician who will make the inlay. Most inlays are made of gold or tooth-coloured porcelain.

Dental surgery - Extraction of wisdom teeth

Why do we have wisdom teeth?

Surgical extraction of wisdom tooth - Dental Tourism HungaryAdults can have up to 32 teeth. The wisdom teeth are the last to come through, right at the back. They usually appear when you are between 17 and 25, although sometimes they appear many years later. Nowadays people often have jaws that are too small for all 32 teeth – 28 is often the most we have room for. So if all the other teeth are present and healthy there may not be enough space for the wisdom teeth to come through properly.

Prevention - Cleaning of the teeth

Brushing

Daily brushing and cleaning is important!Daily brushing and cleaning between your teeth is important because it removes plaque. If the plaque isn’t removed, it continues to build up, feeding on the food debris left behind and causing tooth decay and gum disease. Brushing removes plaque and food particles from the inner, outer and biting surfaces of your teeth.

Here is one method of removing plaque:

  • Place the head of your toothbrush against your teeth and angle against the gumline. Move the brush in small circular movements, several times, on all the surfaces of each individual tooth.
  • Brush the outer surfaces of each tooth, upper and lower, keeping the bristles angled against the gumline.
  • Use the same method on the inside surfaces of all your teeth.
  • Brush the chewing surfaces of the teeth.
  • To clean the inside surfaces of the front teeth, tilt the brush vertically and make several small circular strokes with the toe (the front part) of the brush.
  • Brushing your tongue will help freshen your breath and will clean your mouth by removing bacteria.

Be sure to brush thoroughly with a fluoride toothpaste at least twice a day, more often if your dentist recommends it. If you keep getting discomfort or bleeding after brushing go to see your dentist about it.

Sinus lift have become popular in the past 15 years as more dental patients are getting dental implants to replace their missing teeth.
