Wrinkle and Liplifting with Fillers

The smoothness of your skin and its youthful appearance depends on its water-storing and water-binding ability, because water keeps your skin flexible. The Hyaluronic Acid is a natural component of the skin, and it is responsible for its elasticity. As we age, our body procudes less hyaluronic acid and the underlying tissues that keep our skin looking youthful begin to break down, often leaving laugh lines, smile lines, crow?s feet or facial creases over the areas where movement occurs. Hyaluronic acid adheres to the skin as the water contained in the acid helps to retain volume under the skin's surface. The acid acts as a magnet for water, which helps to preserve the renewed volume of the skin.

What is hyaluronic acid? Hyaluronic acid is an antiseptic, crystal-clear, biodegradable, non-animal stabilized gel injected into the skin in tiny amounts with a very fine needle. The result is immediate, long-lasting, a natural enhancement, gentle and safe to the skin. In our clinic we use exclusively products of the highest quality. These products are of non-animal origin so avoid the necessity for an allergy test. After the treatment some pain, redness and swelling around the treatment area can occur, but they resolve themselves usually within days. The result of the treatment can be seen immediately, and lasts mostly 9-12 months when the hyaluronic acid starts to resolve. So this is a temporary solution and follow-up treatments may be needed.

The treatment

It is most often performed with local anesthesia, especially if the lip is being treated. Patients may feel some pain and discomfort from the needle during injection. Depending upon the extent of the treatment, the procedure can take from a few minutes up to 30 minutes. Patients can return home shortly after the treatment. Injectable fillers can help fill in these lines and creases, temporarily restoring a smoother, more youthful-looking appearance. When injected beneath the skin, fillers plump up creased and sunken areas of the face. They can also add fullness to the lips and cheeks.

By using hyaluronic acid light facial wrinkles, middle-deep and deep wrinkles can also be filled. For example:

• crow?s feet fine lines under and above the mouth
• side-lines of the mouth
• smaller unevenness on the back of the nose
• lipfilling
• wrinkles at the neck.

The treatment is not recommended

• if you are allergic to lidocain
• if you suffer from any kind of skin disease or you have a cold sore
• if you have a serious allergy
• if you suffer from an autoimmun disease
• if you are taking medicaments against thrombosis (e.g. Aspirin, Heparin, Sincumar).
