Mosonmagyaróvár, a small West-Hungarian town of 30 000 inhabitants, is situated at the crossing point of the rivers Mosoni-Danube and Lajta, at about 15 kilometers from the Austrian and Slovakian borders. Vienna, the capital of Austria is about 80 kms from here, and Bratislava the capital of Slovakia is about 30 kms, and Budapest, the capital of Hungary is 180kms.

The historical downtown still guards the memory of the medieval castle and the town. Protected baroque buildings, narrow streets, moody wooden bridges make Mosonmagyaróvár picturesque. There are favourable facilities for cross-country riding and bicycling, and the waterworld of the Szigetköz offers excellent opportunity for water sports and waterside rectreation. The town’s most important touristic attraction is its thermal water, which is an acknowledged medicinal water and belongs to the five of Europe’s most efficient medicinal waters. It has high concentration of salt, alkaline-hydrogen carbonates, chloride and iodine-ions. It is recommended as a bath cure in case of locomotor disorders, in form of inhalation in case of chronic diseases of the respiratory diseases, as well as gastric and intestinal troubles.

There are several accommodations of high quality. During a 1-2 weeks cosmetic, dental treatment or medical therapy the residing guests of our town get aquainted with our historical traditions, take part in our cultural programmes, get a taste of the gastronomical supply that satisfies every demand.
